Hi ❣ It’s so nice to see you,- like always 😊 I hope all is fine with you 🧡
It’s already #weekend again,- and it’s always good to #bake or make something #special for the weekend. Create a bit “food”- different between the weeks and the weekend 😊.
This weekend I’m going to bake something called “American chocolates cookies”,-and I’m not sure if it is an #American recipe or #Norwegian one 😊.
I did get it from one of my #students when I was a #teacher in “Baking, conditioning and canapes- small food”,- in Norway many years ago 😊. It was actually my first teaching job 📚.
We did baked a lots of nice, #tasty and #delicious #cakes and #cookies. My students was very #creative, and really enjoyed the lessons 😊. Me too, by the day,- really #enjoyed to teach the students, be in the lessons and also bake recipes my students had with them.
This #recipe my student told me that her grandmam did made to her when she was a child,- and she really wanted to #share the recipe with both me and the other students 🍪. And both me and my children, and probably the rest of the students are very happy for that 🥰.
Because this “#Americanchocolatescookies” are just marvellous, #sweet and #soft 😊. My children really likes them,- and to be honest, – I actually think my children #enjoying that I’m sharing my different recipes with you too. That means they get a bit #homemade #food, cakes and cookies now at days 😅. More then before,- because I actually do bake and make the recipes I’m sharing with you 😊.
The recipe for “American chocolates cookies” ( it should or could be around 50 pieces)
350 g wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
200 g brown sugar
200 g plain white sugar
250 g soft butter
2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
350 g chopped chocolate
(200 g chopped walnuts / other types of nuts – but I don’t use nuts (my kids are not so fond of nuts) )
Stir the butter softly, add brown sugar, plain sugar and vanilla sugar. Stir well, feel free to use kitchen appliances if you have.
Add one egg at a time while stirring. Pour in flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Then chocolate (and possibly nuts). Stir well together.
Then cook the dough for cooling for about 30 minutes.
After cooling, roll about 3 cm sausages of the dough, which are then cut into slices and put on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
Fry in the middle of the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.
After the cookies are a bit colder,- just try one or two, or even maybe four 🍪. Those cookies are so good and soft,- and still after the are cold they are soft.
I like that the cookies are soft 😊.
I know my children are looking forward to get one tiny box each with thise cookies,- and I’m going to keep one for myself too 😊.
I hope you will enjoy this cookies as much as we do 😊🍪.
Good luck with the baking,- and I wish you a great day or evening wherever in the world you are 🧡. Thank you so much for dropping by #myblog today too 🧡
See you soon 😊.
